one week since the fdcom had passed and so much things seemed to be happening this week. weekly fdcom trainings have stopped for the time being. im not sure to feel happy or sad about this. happy cause now i'll have more time to rest and study, but sad course... i just simply miss everything, from the drills to my fellow squadmates. i'm sure all the fdcom drillers have been feeling this way too especially after today's training which they were all put back into their level squads and the standards of drills would definitely be lower. all i can say to you guys is, don't let your drill slack, but instead influence the other squadmates and bring them to the standard or even higher of the fdcom's. the recruitment for NDP06 is here once again and we can send 10 cadets this time. the response was overwhelming and therefore i guess i'll hafta cut it down when i look through the list again next monday. although im really glad that some of the sec3s are super enthusiastic and keen to join everything, im indeed worried for their studies as well. i do not want such redcross events to affect yer studies too much. so pls, go seriously think about it and let me know by monday. had a rather long meeting with the YOs and Poh Huat Sir yesterday. discussed about the unit's futher training plans, which don't look very good because of the few trainings we have left before we hand over, and also because of the tight restriction of the school in certain programmes, and how parents would complain to the school over the slightest thing. seriously i cant stand the thought of parents over pampering their kids. i dont believe in sheltering my juniors all the time, but i rather they get burnt by the fire at times and learn from it. nonetheless, the seniors and i are working very hard to rectify each problem we're currently facing, and bring the unit to the highest level of excellence we can go to... we'll never be able to succeed until we stay united. heard redcross is gonna be the Guard of Honour contingent for FMSS Founder's Day 2006. our chance is finally here after waiting for 3 years. its gonna be super cool with the 5 new SWO commanders and im confident we're gonna display the best drills among the other UGs. its a pity for me that i wouldn't be able to join you guys this year. i received shocking news on wednesday. my PA senior fell into a serious state of coma all of a sudden due to a blood clot in his brain. for more info, please refer to http://www.lioneltock.blogspot.com/ . all of us were totally shocked and horrified to hear such a news. the guy's blenhiem and he has been an awesome senior and friend of mine. he taught me lotsa stuff that i'll never forget during my sec2 years before he graduated. hes only 19 years old. he's now in the ICU of NUH and already went through the first operation. the 1st one was a failure but i believed the 2nd which he had undergone today was a success. his heartbeat did stop for awhile but it resumed later, as according to sean. that was the latest update from the blog at 5.25pm. i do not know whats the real latest news as i've heard not very pleasent ones... but i still pray for it to be the best. so pls pls pls... i beg all of you reading this to keep him in your constant prayers. i don't know what to do now. despite all the power i have to command a unit, im not even able to save the life of this innocent man. blenhiem has been such a close friend to me and its terrible to hear of such a tragic incident happening to him. i feel so lost and deeply sadden. god... you showed us so many of your miracles especially just a week ago during the fdcom. pls... send us another one and let him live...
